New tanker trained in mutual-aid drill; dedication set for June 25

Chief Bruce Dixon told the commission that training on the departments new tanker continues and that crews "conducted a water shuttle drill with Coventry, Hebron and Columbia last week to continue to practice handling large volumes of water." He said he expected the tanker to be in service within the week.
Dixon also announced a public Dedication and Wet Down Ceremony for Tanker 234 at the firehouse on Sunday, June 25 at 1:00 p.m., and invited the public. The minutes note that ET334 received its Department of Transportation certification and several upgrades during the same period, indicating concurrent apparatus maintenance and commissioning work.
