Bolton Fire Commission approves minutes; chief reports 42 emergency calls since May 22

The Bolton Fire Commission convened at 7:00 p.m. on June 19 at the Bolton firehouse and voted unanimously to approve the May 23, 2017 meeting minutes (moved by Chris Moquin, seconded by Robert Langton).
Chief Bruce Dixon told the commission that "The Department has answered 42 emergency calls since May 22, 2017. We responded to nine motor vehicle accidents." He said the department's budget was at 99% of spending and that he requested transfers from several accounts to cover training, turnout gear and repairs to apparatus. The commission recorded that bills had been paid in June but the minutes do not list amounts or a separate roll-call on payments.
Dixon also summarized recent department activity including equipment compliance checks and intertown training; he announced a public dedication for the new tanker later in the week. The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
