Board approves $1,200 amendment to state RERT grant for bomb-squad equipment

Christina Marshall and Undersheriff Joe Tomich presented Amendment 1 to the contract for Regional Emergency Response Team (RERT) number 4, reporting an additional $1,200 in state grant funding from the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security to cover a procurement shortfall for ballistic vests and helmets. "Sweetwater County was in was awarded an additional $1,200 to its state grant award being overseen by the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security," Marshall said, and staff noted the original award and the revised total.
Commissioners asked questions but took the item as routine; after a second was offered the board approved the amendment unanimously, and staff said existing delayed projects should cover the amount in the county budget so no further budget amendment is needed.
