Commissioners approve $50,000 TANF CPI grant amendment to CLIMB Wyoming

County grants manager Christina Marshall told the board Sweetwater County received an additional $50,000 to its federal FY2025 TANF CPI grant; the funding will be passed through to CLIMB Wyoming to support job-preparation and family-assistance projects for low-income households. "Sweetwater County was awarded an additional $50,000 to its federal fiscal year 2025 TANF CPI grant award," Marshall said, and staff noted there is no required cash match and the amendment was included in the county's FY2026 grant projects budget.
Commissioners moved and unanimously approved a resolution to authorize the chairman to sign Amendment 1, and staff said CLIMB participants historically show improved post-program wages and embedded mental-health services in their training models.
