Finance committee authorizes nearly $3.9 million in bills and approves payroll totals

The Kalkaska County Finance Committee on Nov. 11, 2025, authorized payment of Post Approved Bills totaling $3,899,760.77 and General Fund bills of $267,838.14. The committee also recorded approval of Payroll #21 for $219,360.22 and Payroll #22 for $218,678.76, for a combined payroll total of $438,038.98. Commissioner per-diem and salary payments totaling $4,640.00 were approved as part of the consent.
Chair Jeff Sieting made the motion to approve payment of the bills and payroll; the minutes record the approvals as consensus actions with no recorded opposition. The approvals were processed as part of end-of-year financial housekeeping ahead of the Nov. 13 workshop to review the proposed 2026 budget.
