The Kalkaska County Board of Commissioners voted Nov. 19 to accept a Cost Allocation Plan (CAP) prepared by MGT and authorized the chair to sign the report.
MGT representative Dawn Bock reviewed the CAP’s purpose: to document direct and indirect county costs so state and federal grant programs can reimburse eligible departments. Bock noted, “$8,000.00 MGT service fee equates to the reimbursement of $111,000.00.” Commissioners approved the plan by roll call (Baldwin, yes; Sieting, yes; Bicum, yes; Comai, yes; Persons, yes; Fisher, yes; Matley absent).
Administrators said the CAP covers cost allocation across department functions and that accepting the plan is necessary to secure reimbursements tied to grant-funded programs. The board’s approval means staff can proceed with grant reimbursement workflows that rely on the CAP’s cost allocations.
