The board approved a two‑year contract with Unbound Learning to provide systems planning, instructional coaching and professional learning at Madrone High School, which was identified as a Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) site.
A district presenter said the contract totals about $28,000 for the two‑year scope of work and will be covered entirely by CSI funds; the initial CSI allocation to the district was noted to be in the $600,000 range with the district expecting an award over $700,000 to support multiple Madrone efforts. "This work will conclude a combination of in person professional learning, systems planning, coaching, and some virtual support over the 2026–27 and 2027–28 school years," the presenter said. Trustee Lauer moved approval and the motion passed by voice vote.
Board materials noted no impact to the general fund. Trustees asked clarifying questions about scope and CSI funding; staff said the contract is one element of a larger set of supports funded by the CSI allocation.
