Oconto County land records office wins Next Gen 911 grant; extension and department updates reported

Dave Poffinbarger reported that the LIS/Land Records Department received the 2026 Next Gen 911 Grant. Scott Reuss and other department staff also provided updates on agriculture training, nutrient management deadlines, timber tract bids, and DNR liaison hours.
Dave Poffinbarger, GIS/LIO/LIS Administrator, told the committee the department was awarded the 2026 Next Gen 911 Grant. The committee noted the award during the LIS/Land Records department report and required no additional action at the meeting.
The meeting also included related department updates: Scott Reuss (Regional Crops & Soil Educator) distributed the February–March 2026 agriculture report and discussed Manure Applicators Training, Nutrient Management Farmer Education Training and fertilizer cost margins. Chris Firgens reported the Forest & Parks department is accepting sealed bids on 14 timber tracts with a May 4, 2026 deadline and reviewed the Recreation Officer and WDNR liaison hours and allocations.
