Springdale council approves alcohol service on Town Field for St. Patrick's Day event

The Springdale Town Council voted unanimously Feb. 20 to allow alcohol to be sold and served on the Town Field for a St. Patrick's Day event scheduled for March 21, 2026. Council member Pat Campbell moved to authorize the sale and service after staff reported the applicant had met the requirements of Springdale Town Code Section 7-6-13(E); the motion was seconded by Randy Aton and carried 5-0.
Town Clerk Robin Romero told the council that Cade Campbell, on behalf of the Zion Canyon Visitors Bureau, requested permission to hold the event on the Town Field and have alcohol available via Zion Brew Pub. Mayor Barbara Bruno confirmed the applicant had met the town's requirements. The meeting minutes record that council members Jack Burns, Randy Aton, Pat Campbell, Kyla Topham and Mayor Bruno all voted in favor.
The approval grants the applicant and the vendor the local authorization required by town code to sell alcohol on town property for this single event. The council did not place additional restrictions in the motion beyond authorizing the mayor to sign the approval. The town posted the special meeting agenda and supporting packet materials on its website and provided a livestream of the meeting on the town's YouTube channel.
