County lets fire restrictions expire; official recommends lifting order

"It's my recommendation to remove the fire restrictions at this time," Alan said, adding that agencies in neighboring counties are taking similar steps. Commissioners discussed decreasing fuel-moisture concerns and cooler mornings; Commissioner Richards supported letting the current resolution expire without extension and the board took no motion to extend, allowing the restriction to lapse as scheduled.
