The Commissioners Court approved a resolution declaring Aug. 2–8, 2026 as National Health Center Week in El Paso County. Representatives from community health centers including Centro San Vicente and Project Vida spoke to the court about the scope of services they provide, patient counts and bilingual clinical programs.
A presenter from Centro San Vicente described the clinic's patient volume and range of services, saying the center serves "14,000 unduplicated patients a year" and offers primary care, dental and behavioral-health services. Project Vida officials noted their bilingual psychiatric residency program and school-based services. The court read and adopted the resolution with a motion from Judge Samaniego and a second from Commissioner O'Guin.
