Jail administrator reports 360 inmates countywide; five transferred to DOC

David Weber, Jail Administrator for the Comanche County Detention Center (CCDC), told the Facilities Authority on April 6 that inmate counts have risen. "AS OF APRIL 3, 2026 THE DETENTION CENTER HAD A COUNT OF 200 INMATES," Weber said, adding that those 200 include 152 males and 48 females.
Weber reported additional counts and transfers affecting county custody: "AS OF TODAY, THERE ARE 234 INMATES AT CCDC, 126 INMATES AT OTHER COUNTIES, FOR A COMBINED TOTAL OF 360." He said five inmates are currently ready to be transferred to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (DOC) and that five inmates were transferred to DOC during the week leading up to the meeting. The numbers are recorded in the April 6 meeting minutes and were presented as a weekly status update rather than as the basis for immediate policy changes.
The Facilities Authority did not take any additional action based on the report during the meeting. The authority approved routine business and adjourned; jail population reporting was presented as part of the regular weekly updates.
