County seeks permanent fixes after courthouse phone and internet outage

"It's Jeremy Powell. It's in the central part of the courthouse, and everything went... there had to be an extension for a grama from my basement out the door of the hall into another part of the courthouse to plug in a device that allows for the phones in there to come back on over the dispatch," Commissioner 1 said, describing the temporary workaround during the outage. Staff agreed to price both options and to check generator capacity to verify whether the panel can support additional devices. Commissioners emphasized that phones and internet are mission-critical for dispatch and courthouse operations and asked for a cost estimate for a permanent fix.
