Committee recommends $5,500 police budget carryover for body cameras and equipment

The Village of Bonduel Committee of the Whole voted unanimously Jan. 22 to recommend that $5,500 in unspent 2024 Police Department funds be carried into the 2025 budget to cover equipment purchases.
According to the minutes, the request was presented on behalf of Police Chief Fischer, who asked that remaining 2024 funds be used for body cameras, a desktop computer and other office equipment the department had planned to buy in 2024. Committee member Tim Kelley moved to recommend the carryover and Kay Zuleger seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The committee directed staff to provide the dollar amount to the auditors next week, and the final resolution is scheduled for the February Village Board meeting.
