Miss Brooks presented the district improvement plan and said it mirrors the district strategic plan 2.0 and focuses on four goals: excellent student outcomes, superior workplace, exceptional customer service/community engagement, and strategic resource management. She told trustees the plan is the result of district leadership and DEIC input and that campuses will present campus-level goals in September.
Brooks emphasized continued implementation of Capturing Kids' Hearts, expansion of MTSS and math academies, and measures to increase teacher support and data monitoring. Administration recommended approval and the board approved the DIP by voice vote, 6–0.
Miss Brooks said the DIP will be supported by campus action plans and noted the district will continue to "implement our early college high school" efforts and align assessments and progress monitoring with the DIP.
