Miss Brooks presented FLORESVILLE ISD 2024-25 annual TAPR report at the board's Feb. 2 public hearing, reporting districtwide increases across reading, math, science and social studies performance levels and higher participation. "Overall, when aggregated together, the district increased in all grades and subjects in all 3 performance levels," she said, and noted that FISD's attendance rose to 92.9 percent while graduation dipped slightly to 89.8 percent.
Brooks highlighted a marked rise in the district's college, career and military readiness (CCMR) metrics: the percentage of students identified as college ready rose from 41.4 percent to 58.9 percent, and career and military readiness rose from 29.7 percent to 56.5 percent, largely because more students received industry-based certifications. She also told the board the district's accountability status for 2024-25 was "needs assistance," and said the district rolled over its improvement plan and would continue to work on identified areas. "The district received its 2nd status of needs assistance," Brooks said. The district will post the full report online and make hard copies available at the central office and campuses.
