Kay County payroll claim flagged; DA warns of potential county policy violation

DA Brian Hermanson advised the board that paying the claim as submitted could be a violation of county policy.
Chairman Jeff Kreger directed that any amount of overpayment be deducted if payment would compromise county policy. Commissioner Jason Shanks said he would speak with the officer involved. The board carried the motion related to payroll processing, and the DA's review was noted as the controlling guidance for final payment adjustments.
