County told to seek bids for courthouse and administration phone systems

The Board of County Commissioners took no action on quotes to replace the phone systems in the Courthouse and the Administration Building after the District Attorney said auditors determined the county must solicit competitive bids. DA Brian Hermanson told the board that, "it was determined the county would need to go out for bid," and the item was left tabled while specifications are prepared.
Court Clerk Marilee Thornton said Kip Bird with American Telephone would draft the specifications for a future solicitation. The item was tabled pending the auditor's response and any required formal bid process, so no contract was authorized at the meeting.
