Public-safety reminder: National Night Out backpacks, bounce houses and 'Touch a Truck' set for the fall

Mayor Pro Tem Turner also previewed a free "Touch a Truck" event he plans to host on Oct. 26 from 1 to 4 p.m., bringing large municipal and emergency vehicles for children to see. "It's free to the entire community... I'm paying for everything," Turner said, adding that he would coordinate with the fire department on ladder-truck participation and would cover insurance and porta-potties out of pocket.
