Nobles County approves PJC design contract, tables some Government Center door projects and acknowledges wind developer’s increased surety

Nobles County approved a $12,500 professional design services proposal from Widseth to develop concept plans for Prairie Justice Center parking, ADA access, driving surfaces and security features. The proposal was approved by motion (moved by Commissioner Bob Paplow; seconded by Commissioner Chris Dybevick).
Separately, the board considered two County capital improvement packages: an Assessor’s customer service door and a Government Center door/concrete package. Both items were tabled; the Government Center package was tabled on a 4–1 vote (Ahlers, Metz, Paplow, Dybevick in favor; Demuth opposed). The board also acknowledged an increase in Fenton Power Partners I, LLC’s surety bond from $750,000 to $900,000 and approved the attached insurance rider (moved by Commissioner Robert S. Demuth).
