Trustees also approved a contract with Innovative Network of Knowledge, Inc. to support six Head Start classes for 3- and 4-year-olds for 2025–26 (administration cited a program figure of $300,000 during discussion). Finally, the board approved TEA low-attendance waivers requested to exclude instructional days affected by cold weather, a January flu outbreak and a May safety incident from ADA and FSP funding calculations; administration explained the waivers apply when attendance dropped at least 10 percentage points below the prior year's average for the affected day.
