Floresville ISD rating rises to C (78) as campuses record gains under state STAR refresh

Miss Bridal, who presented the state accountability report, said the district improved in all three domains used under the STAR Refresh 2.0 system and that Closing the Gaps moved to a B. "The 2025 overall rating for Floresville ISD is a C or a 78," she said. She reported high school gains (FHS: 73 to 79), a middle-school move from C to B with three distinction designations, and substantial gains at North and South elementary campuses.
Board members asked for detail on factors behind a small decline in Algebra and EOC growth, and Bridal said targeted intervention plans and a shift away from the prior "5 by 5" testing rhythm should give staff more time for interventions. The presentation noted CCMR (college, career and military readiness) rose substantially for the cohort reported in 2025.
The board took no formal action beyond discussion; administration indicated campus-level improvement plans and a targeted SPED support plan will return for future oversight.
