Public commenter urges board to remove wireless tech from schools citing health risks

The commenter said the risks include a long list of reported health effects and described concerns about surveillance and electronic waste. “We could change the title to say toxic microwave radiation from all these devices,” the speaker said and urged wired Ethernet as the safer alternative.
Board members thanked the speaker and acknowledged the comment for the record. Trustees did not take action during the meeting on technology policy; the board did not debate technology standards or commission a technical review during this session.
