Acting development services director reports staff turnover; will wear multiple roles

City Engineer Matt Rector delivered the Development Services year‑end report material and announced staff transitions in the department. Rector said the department has seen turnover — "Ashley is no longer with us," he said — and that another staff member is departing. As a result he is temporarily covering multiple roles.
"I am currently acting as your city engineer, your development services director, and now I am your senior planner," Rector said, adding that staff will pull last year’s development services report and that he will coordinate CIP breakout sessions and invitations to relevant boards. Commissioners offered to help with the year‑end materials where appropriate and discussed scheduling topic‑specific CIP sessions for January and beyond.
Rector said staff will follow up with the commission on the report and return with requested CIP materials and finance guardrails prior to the next substantive workshops.
