Special Magistrate Jeff Fuller ordered owners Melvin and Elizabeth Burkpile to correct minimum-housing and trash violations at 5520 35th Way North in St. Petersburg within 30 days.
Senior Officer Duvall presented photos showing missing siding, peeling paint, a broken front window and excessive overgrowth. County records show notices were posted and mailings returned; property appraiser and tax-collector records listed the Burkpiles at the address. Fuller found service sufficient and entered exhibits; he ordered the property be brought into compliance by Sept. 11, 2024 at 5 p.m., and warned that fines of $100 per day would be assessed for ongoing violations.
