Magistrate finds code violations at True Holiness Worship Ministries, gives 90 days to repair

Special Magistrate Jeff Fuller found that True Holiness Worship Ministries’ property at 2800/2806 41st Avenue North in unincorporated Pinellas County had minimum-housing violations and ordered repairs to be completed within 90 days.

Senior Officer Eric Jewett, with Pinellas County Code Enforcement, presented composite exhibits including photos, property appraiser records and a warranty deed showing rotted soffit and fascia, peeling paint, mildew and exterior openings. Jewett said the violations “have been in occurrence since on or before, 05/21/2024” and entered photos as composite exhibit B. He requested a finding of violation and an order to bring the property into compliance. Jewett also noted the trash and debris previously cited had been removed and asked the magistrate to find that violation satisfied.

Respondent Robert Lee Harrison Jr., identified in county records as registered agent for True Holiness Worship Ministries, told the magistrate that he believed the cited items had been addressed and asked for time to finish repairs. “We complied to each and every one of these violations,” Harrison said while presenting his case. Fuller allowed Harrison the opportunity to work with the building department on any required permits and recommended Harrison contact Officer Jewett if more time was needed.

The magistrate ruled that the trash-and-debris violation was in compliance and ordered no further action on that count. For the minimum-housing violations under code section 22-2-99, Fuller found a violation and ordered the property brought into compliance within 90 days (11/10/2024 at 5 p.m.), warning that a $100-per-day fine would be imposed for failure to comply.
