CPMT considers adding public comment, strategic planning and a family survey to meeting agendas

Brady Nemeyer, the Hanover CSA Coordinator, presented options for modifying the CPMT agenda to encourage engagement and information-sharing. "The Agenda might include a section for Public Comment, with the Agenda noting parameters around the Public Comment period," Nemeyer said, citing a sample agenda from the City of Richmond CPMT and noting differences in meeting frequency and finance practices between the jurisdictions.
Nemeyer recommended putting Strategic Planning on future agendas and scheduling a retreat so CPMT could devote more time to revising the Strategic Plan. He also suggested agencies share their strategic plans to identify alignment, and raised the possibility of including data on pending private day expenses. Chair Bret Schardein asked whether the CPMT bylaws need updating to reflect any changes; Nemeyer said he would explore that question. Several members, including Jaime Hanks (attending for Diane Brown) and Daricka Jones, contributed perspectives on what could be shared publicly and what remains confidential in pending placements.
