"A lot of these data centers... it's in their best interest to make sure that they leave as little of a footprint wherever they're at for the longevity," Wallace said, and he advised residents to "double check what's out there" before forming conclusions.
The mayor's remarks signaled the council is tracking regional interest in data centers and their resource impacts; no town action or policy decision on data centers was made at the meeting.
