Huachuca City council approves consent agenda; members ask staff to pull vehicle maintenance invoices for review

The Town of Huachuca City Council approved its consent agenda on March 26, 2026, adopting the minutes of the March 12 regular meeting and the March 21 public hearing and accepting the Payment Approval Report.
Mayor Pro Tem Christy Hirshberg raised questions about costs in the payment approval report related to vehicle maintenance and repairs and asked staff to pull the invoices in question for further review. Mayor Johann Wallace confirmed that pulling the invoices would not prevent the consent vote. "Mayor Pro Tem Hirshberg has some questions about costs on the payment approval report and if we are getting the best deal for maintenance and repairs on our vehicles," the minutes record.
The motion to approve the items on the consent agenda was moved by Johann Wallace and seconded by Debra Trate; the minutes note the motion "passed unanimously." Council members did not remove any items for separate consideration after the vote. The request to pull invoices is expected to result in follow-up at a future meeting once staff review is complete.
