Floresville ISD honors students, coaches and teachers at April board meeting

Trustees and administrators used the April meeting to recognize student and staff achievements across the district. Cafeteria manager Matt Moffett introduced Future Chef participants and described the program’s role in teaching presenting skills and cooking; he named the top finishers and praised their dishes.
Mr. Barrett presented the high‑school students of the month, Natalie Valdez and Nolan Garcia, and introduced the teacher of the month, Miss Farrell, citing leadership, academic performance and extra hours devoted to students. Coaches and athletic staff recognized state‑qualifying power‑lifting teams, summarized season results and thanked coaching staff for hosting meets that expanded student competition opportunities. Coach Leonard recognized senior Alyssa Arladeo for leadership, academic All‑State honors and surpassing the 1,000‑point career mark.
Board members congratulated students and thanked supporting community organizations such as the Lions Club and Alliance Club for backing student recognition efforts.
