Board approves GED program continuation, inmate boarding and SRO service agreements
Summary
Chisago County approved an agreement to continue GED programming with the St. Croix River Education District, authorized an inmate boarding agreement with Anoka County Community Corrections, approved a School Resource Officer services agreement for Rush City School District for 2026–2027, and approved a Joint Powers Agreement (No. 29029) for county attorney reimbursement related to MCF-Rush City.
The board approved an agreement between Chisago County and the St. Croix River Education District to continue GED programming; the motion carried unanimously. The board also approved an inmate boarding agreement with Anoka County Community Corrections and approved provision of School Resource Officer services for the Rush City School District for the 2026–2027 school year.
Separately, the board approved the State of Minnesota Joint Powers Agreement No. 29029 to reimburse the Chisago County Attorney’s Office for expenses related to the Correctional Facility (MCF-Rush City). Each of these motions carried with a recorded unanimous vote of the five commissioners.
