Miss Brooks said calendar option 1 resembled the current year and received 41% of respondents’ preference, while option 2—five‑day weeks in the fall and four‑day weeks in the spring—received 56% support.
Administration recommended the board approve option 2. A trustee moved to accept the recommendation; the motion was seconded and the board approved the 2026–27 Floresville ISD calendar by show of hands, 7–0. Trustees were reminded the district will finalize budget and staffing assumptions during the finance-committee review and that enrollment trends will inform the final budget.
