Parent asks Floresville ISD for full documentation behind high‑school GPA recalculations

During the public‑comment portion of the Floresville ISD board meeting, parent Andrew Keona told trustees the district’s explanation of recent manual GPA recalculations at the high school remains “incomplete, inconsistent, and undocumented.” He said the principal described an issue of Skyward double‑counting certain CTE courses but that explanation addressed a symptom rather than a cause.
Keona asked the board to disclose when the error was discovered, how many students were affected, whether recalculations were performed more than once, what formula was used in any Excel recalculations and who verified the work. “I am formally requesting that all documentation related to the Skyward error and dependent calculations be provided within 10 business days,” Keona said, and added he has filed a Texas Public Information Act request to obtain records.
Board members thanked Keona for bringing the concern forward; the public‑comment period ended without a substantive district response providing the requested documentation during the meeting. The board did not take action during the meeting to require the documents be produced immediately; the superintendent later presented routine reports in the superintendent’s update but did not offer the specific recalculation files during the session.
