Chisago County authorizes State Legacy grant for Swedish Immigrant Regional Trail Segment E

The Chisago County Board adopted Resolution No. 26/0701-2 on July 1, 2026, authorizing the county to enter Grant Contract Agreement GMRPTC27-09 with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for a FY27 Legacy grant to reconstruct Swedish Immigrant Regional Trail Segment E.
According to the resolution, the project will reconstruct and place new pavement on 2.1 miles of existing trail from the termination at Quandam Lane east along the corridor to a point approximately 0.3 mile east of Ryden Avenue. The board delegated and directed the county Parks Director to serve as the county's authorized legal representative to execute and administer the grant contract. The motion carried unanimously (Swenson, Greene, Dunne, Montzka, Dahlberg).
