Board certifies District 2 election, declares Terrell Shellhouse winner

The Floresville ISD Board of Trustees canvassed and certified the Nov. 4, 2025 election results for Single Member District 2 and declared Terrell Shellhouse the winner. Administration presented a precinct-by-precinct summary showing Shellhouse received 137 votes; David Nieto 92; Vonna Reid 88; and Larry Jones 58. "Your approval for canvassing and certification of these votes is required," administration stated while asking trustees for approval.
Board members approved the canvass and certification by show of hands, with the chair recording the vote as 7-0 in favor. The motion to accept the administration recommendation was made and recorded on the public record; administration said the district held a joint election with Wilson County and that early voting took place at the Wilson County Elections Office at 1103 4th Street in Floresville.
