Board approves child-development funding agreement and honors school boards countywide

The board approved Resolution 24-44 to authorize a local agreement with the California Department of Social Services for continued funding of the Child Development Resource Center and also approved Resolution 24-45 recognizing school boards countywide for School Board Recognition Month.
The board unanimously approved two resolutions in its new-business section.
Dr. Marsha Russell introduced Resolution 24-44 authorizing the County Office to enter into a local agreement with the California Department of Social Services to continue funding the Child Development Resource Center, which provides hotline services, provider professional development and a countywide resource for early childcare options. "This is the resolution to authorize the county office to, upon submission and approval of this continued funding application, to enter an agreement," Russell said.
The board also approved Resolution 24-45 recognizing school board members across the county for School Board Recognition Month. Superintendent Farris Sabah praised volunteer leaders and encouraged sharing the resolution with local districts.
