Arlington’s Digital Equity Coalition grows; county plans fall Digital Discovery Fair and publishes resource hub

Jennifer Skow said Arlington launched a Digital Equity Coalition in February 2025 to convene nonprofits, technology providers, county staff and school staff for shared learning and collaboration. "So what started in February of last year with 25 participants, it's grown into this really nice community of practice ... I now have more than 90 people on my listserv," Skow said.
Skow described coalition infrastructure: a landing page and a coalition web page with grant information, a digital resource inventory (PDF and SharePoint list), meeting slides and summaries, and an expression-of-interest form for partners. She said members added documents and event postings to a shared hub and that coalition meetings are quarterly.
She asked advisory members to join the listserv, use the SharePoint repository and help recruit participants for the planned fall Digital Discovery Fair, which Skow described as a free event where residents can meet organizations, attend workshops and receive navigation help. Members praised the coalition’s networking value and asked staff to share the listserv sign-up route with community organizations.
