CPMT holds closed session under state code, certifies meeting and approves IEPs and IFSPs

The Shenandoah County CPMT moved into closed executive session at 10:07 a.m. to consider provision of services and funding for a particular child or family referred to the FAPT. The motion to enter closed session was made by Leea Shirley (Health District) and seconded by Rachel Taylor (DSS); the motion cited Code of Virginia authority 2.2-3711 (A) (4) and (15) and '2.2- 5210' as the legal basis shown in the minutes.
After reconvening at 10:22 a.m., the committee performed a roll-call certification that only matters lawfully exempt from open meeting requirements were discussed (Alyssa Baker, Courtney Phillips, Leea Shirley, Leigh Sicina and Rachel Taylor each certified). Leigh Sicina then motioned to approve all IEPs and IFSPs as presented; Leea Shirley seconded and the committee approved the plans.
