Planning board swears in three new members and appoints chair pro tem
Summary
The Mexico Beach Planning & Zoning Board sworn in three new members Aug. 3, 2026, and appointed a temporary chair for the meeting while the regular chair and another member were excused.
Ade Nyla Johnson and two others were sworn in at the start of the meeting, each repeating the oath to "support and defend the ordinances of the city of Mexico Beach." Tammy administered the oath and confirmed names and spellings for the record.
With the regular chair, Mr. Kerrigan, and Mr. Van Arsdale excused, the board moved to appoint a chairman pro tem. The board took a roll-call vote to approve the appointment and then proceeded with the agenda. The clerk and staff confirmed member name spellings and provided copies of the packet to the new members for their records.
