One bidder responded by the deadline with a price $2,425 higher than projected; another potential bidder missed the deadline and submitted at 3:15 p.m. The Finance Committee discussed allowing the late submission given limited bidders and concurred with including the additional bid for department review.
Annette Christie reported results showing the ultimately allowed bid was about $5,000 more than the other bidder; the department will proceed with the lowest bidder that meets specifications. Several other bids opened April 1, 2026 (2026-043, 2026-048, 2026-055) will continue through departmental review to select the lowest compliant bidder.
