County extends chronic disease prevention subcontract for $86,935

The Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Commission on April 7 approved an additional six-month extension to the Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion subcontract with the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Health Department for $86,935.
Public Health Director Lauren Bolton told the Commission the initial subcontract covered six months because funding was uncertain; staff performance and higher client numbers justified funding the remaining six months of the fiscal year. "We are getting more money for the second six months, largely due to the performance of our staff and taking on more clients," Bolton said.
Commissioner Ed Beaudette moved to approve the contract extension; Commissioner Paul Smith seconded and the motion carried 5-0. No public comment was offered.
