Board approves Shenandoah County Public Schools carryovers and adopts six-year secondary roads plan

The Board approved multiple old-business items by unanimous roll call. Vice Chairman Dennis Morris moved, and Supervisor David Ferguson seconded, to approve the special budget carryover, special deferred revenue and capital improvement carryforward for Shenandoah County Public Schools (SCPS); the motion passed unanimously.
Separately, the Board approved a resolution regarding the SCPS FY2025 fund balance carryover after Supervisor Dotson moved and Supervisor Gutshall seconded the motion. The supervisors also adopted the six-year plan for secondary roads and set priorities for fiscal years 2027 through 2032; the motions for these items passed on unanimous roll call. Vice Chairman Morris stated he is convinced there will be progress and expressed openness to continued work with the School Board on projects.
