Floyd County approves three-year AMR contract, attorney to request company financials

The Floyd County Board of Supervisors voted 3-0 May 19 to approve a three-year contract with AMR for ambulance services covering July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029. Rottinghaus and Campbell moved to approve the contract and the motion carried unanimously.
County Attorney Todd Prichard reviewed the draft contract in public comment and "expressed concerns regarding the incentive provisions, recommending that the amounts be capped; the updated AMR contract reflects this request." Board members also directed the county attorney to formally request AMRs financials after Charles City Administrator Tyler Trout said AMR had not submitted the requested financial statements. The board recorded the action as a formal approval and an instruction to seek additional financial information from AMR.
