Roxbury to fund stream engineering, approves first culvert project

Selectmen reviewed engineering estimates for stream work and discussed an ordinance issue at Theriault Stream (Map 9 Lot 32). The minutes record that each stream project is estimated at $28,000, the town has funds for one project, and additional funding could be raised at a special town meeting. On a motion by Selectman Timothy Derouche, seconded by Matthew Patneaude, the board voted 3-0 to proceed with project number 1.
Board members also discussed a separate culvert concern and other map-lot issues in the Code Enforcement Officer report (Map 2 Lot 39C and Map 2 Lot 20). The board directed follow-up with the Code Enforcement Officer on next steps, including engineering details and scheduling as funds and contractor availability allow.
