HRB elects officers, cancels May speaker series and outlines volunteer participation for outreach events

At its April 2 meeting the Historic Resources Board elected officers for the April 2026–March 2027 term and made several administrative decisions affecting the spring schedule.
Rose Nyman nominated Bob Wren for chair and the motion passed 4-0. Lynette Foulger nominated Terry LaValley as vice-chair and that motion passed 4-0. The board voted to "go dark" on the second Thursday (cancel the May 14 speaker-series event) after Gayla reported no confirmed speaker for that date; the motion passed 4-0. Terry said he plans to attend the Sportsman's Club Conservation Day on May 9 (starts about 10 AM) and Lynette and Rose volunteered to help in the morning.
The board also approved prior meeting minutes (March 5 and March 19) with noted corrections earlier in the session. Members flagged an outstanding cashier's check issue for follow-up and set the next meeting for May 7, 2026. The meeting adjourned at 11:23 AM.
