The board opened a public hearing on the district's School Facilities Needs Analysis (SFNA), prepared by SchoolWorks Inc., which provides the basis for assessing Level 2 school facility fees on new residential construction under Government Code requirements. Administration said the SFNA was available for public review for at least 30 days as required by law.
The proposed Level 2 fee increase — from $3.28 to $3.50 per square foot (a 22¢ increase) — was presented along with a resolution (No. 30) authorizing continuation of the Level 2 fees. The public hearing produced no comments and the board adopted the SFNA findings and the fee resolution on a roll‑call vote.
Officials explained the fee revenue is placed into a separate fund and may be used for items tied to growth, such as portable classrooms, related repairs, furniture and furnishings for new students generated by residential growth.
