The Historic Resources Board set the Phoebe Hearst statue unveiling for 2 p.m. on June 13 and approved several event logistics on April 2.
Tammy Mattson moved to produce a commemorative postcard of the statue and the motion carried 5-0; Rose Nyman said she would look into pricing and turnaround time so a photo of the installed statue could be used. Rose reported she had located velvet and silk options for an unveiling drape and suggested installing the drape on Thursday, June 11, so it would be ready for the Saturday dedication. She also proposed ordering a brass plate to identify the artist to be installed on the back of the top tier; she suggested obtaining the plate from Prison Industries.
For the reception, Lynette will contact the Elks about time and special drinks discussed earlier. The board discussed light hors d'oeuvres, a dessert table with contributions from members, and providing a drink for the artist and guest. Members requested volunteers list and asked each to indicate what dessert they would bring by May meeting.
