The Economic Development Authority of Page County convened June 22 in Luray to handle housekeeping items, review financials, hear consultant work on housing, and consider property and insurance matters.
The EDA adopted the meeting agenda by consensus and approved the May 26 minutes after a motion by Dennis Fleming and a second from Bernie Miller. Members reviewed June’s financial report prepared by Treasurer Sara Levinson. The farming/agriculture subcommittee’s resolution to apply for Industrial Revitalization Funds was adopted (3 yes, 1 abstention). Hill Studio presented a local market and feasibility study that remains a draft pending Virginia Housing acceptance. A draft purchase contract for 6 acres on Stoney Brook Lane was reviewed but not approved; members asked counsel for edits. The EDA approved liability insurance through VAcorp for FY2027 totaling $1,448.
