The Page County Board of Supervisors adopted a Social Media Content Policy at its June 15 meeting to provide uniform standards for official county accounts, content moderation, public engagement and records retention.
County Attorney Michael Helm introduced the resolution and noted two minor corrections to the draft (a wording correction and a cross‑reference in the policy language). The resolution recognizes that official county social media accounts constitute limited public forums subject to constitutional protections and directs the County Administrator to act as the Administrator of county social media accounts and to appoint additional administrators as necessary.
Supervisor Ryan Cubbage moved adoption as amended; Supervisor Allen Louderback seconded and the motion passed 6‑0. The policy was entered into the record by resolution.
