The Page County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on June 15 to approve a special‑use permit allowing Cody Hoke to operate an auto repair service facility/public garage at 855 Bixlers Ferry Road (tax map 41‑A‑57A).
Acting Zoning Administrator Cassie Richards told the Board the Planning Commission had recommended approval (5‑0). Supervisor Jeff Vaughan moved to approve the permit and Supervisor Jeremy Baldwin seconded; the motion carried 6‑0.
Conditions attached to the permit require the business to obtain a valid Page County business license; comply with the Uniform Statewide Building Code and all state health requirements before operation; direct any exterior lighting downward to avoid glare; install evergreen screening at six‑foot intervals and a six‑foot solid wood fence along the western property line; and maintain appropriate containment vessels for used oil, fuel and other hazardous liquids with proper off‑site disposal. The permit limits outdoor storage of inoperable/untagged vehicles outside the existing fenced area to no more than five vehicles beyond 90 days and states the permit will remain with the property for 30 years.
The Board’s approval follows the Planning Commission recommendation and a public hearing in which no members of the public spoke on the application.
